DEBRA IRELAND EB is a distressing and painful genetic skin condition causing skin layers and internal body linings to separate and blister at the slightest touch. Children born with EB have skin that is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly - and as easily damaged. As yet there is no cure and no effective treatment. For some children, EB can be fatal.
